2. What you are buying
Shiplings is a macOS application. The free version is complete and stays free. The paid tier is a one-off lifetime licence for one person, unlocking the full character catalog and the other features marked as paid on the site. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.
Delivery
Your licence key is sent by email to the address given at checkout, normally within a few minutes of payment. Enter it in the app under Settings → Licence. If it has not arrived within 24 hours, check your spam folder and then write to us — we will resend it.
Licence
You may install and use Shiplings on any Mac you personally own. You may not resell, sublicense, or share your key. The key is a signature, not a password: sharing it does not create new licences, it puts your own at risk of being revoked.
3. Price and tax
Prices are shown in CURRENCY. Depending on your country, tax (EU VAT, UK VAT, US sales tax, and equivalents) may be added at checkout and shown before you pay. Your invoice is issued by STRIPE ENTITY OR YOUR COMPANY — see the note below and sent by email.
4. Right of withdrawal, and how it works for software
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase without giving a reason.
Digital content delivered immediately is the exception. Under Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU, that right does not apply once performance has begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you thereby lose it. At checkout you are asked to tick a box giving that consent, because your licence key is delivered right away.
If you do not tick it, the key is not sent immediately and you keep the full 14 days. This is a real choice, not a formality.
5. Refunds
Beyond the legal position above, the practical policy is simple: if Shiplings does not do what this site says it does, write to hello@shiplings.app within 30 days and you get your money back. No form to fill in, and you do not have to justify yourself.
Try the free version first. It is not a trial with a timer — it is the product, and it will tell you within a day whether you want the rest.
6. Conformity and warranty
Shiplings is provided as described on this site. As a consumer you keep your statutory rights to conformity of digital content under EU law, which nothing here limits. Beyond those rights, the software is provided without further warranty: it is a companion app for your own machine, and it cannot guarantee that a deploy, a pull request or an agent behaves in any particular way.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the amount you paid for your licence. Nothing here excludes liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Updates and availability
A lifetime licence covers the current major version and every update to it. Updates are delivered in-app and are signed; the app will not install an unsigned one. We may stop selling Shiplings, but that does not switch off a licence you already hold.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of COUNTRY. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country of residence. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
